Bike Mechanic – Rental Fleet Technician
We’re looking for a skilled Bike Mechanic to keep our rental fleet running at a high standard in Whistler. You’ll be working on a fleet of ~90 mountain bikes and e-bikes, ensuring every bike is safe, reliable, and ready for daily use.
This is a hands-on workshop role in a fast-paced rental environment with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
✔ What you’ll do
Service and maintain a fleet of ~90 rental bikes (DH, enduro, trail, and e-bikes)
Perform full mechanical work including brakes, drivetrain, suspension, and wheel systems
Prepare and stage bikes for daily and future bookings
Keep accurate service records and maintenance tracking
Support bike fittings and occasional guest interactions
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop
Assist with parts ordering and inventory management
🔧 What you bring
Minimum 1 year experience in a professional bike workshop
Strong understanding of bike repair and service procedures
High attention to detail and consistent quality of work
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
Positive attitude and willingness to support shop operations
⚙️ Technical skills (preferred)
Brake service & bleeding (SRAM, Shimano, Tektro)
Drivetrain servicing (SRAM, Shimano, MicroShift)
Suspension lower-leg service (Fox, RockShox)
Wheel truing, spoke replacement, and wheel builds
Frame bearing replacement
Familiarity with Kona, Scott, Rocky Mountain, Norco platforms
E-bike systems (Bosch, Shimano, Dyname)
