Rental Shop Supervisor

Premium Mountain Rentals is an innovative ski, snowboard and mountain bike rental business located in the heart of Whistler. We are independently owned and managed by a team of mountain enthusiasts with extensive experience in the ski, snowboard and bike industries.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Supervisor to help lead our team and ensure our guests receive the level of service Premium Mountain Rentals is known for.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
Lead the rental team during daily operations
Help create a positive, fun and professional working environment
Provide exceptional guest service and ensure the team is doing the same
Assist with training, coaching and supporting Rental Associates
Delegate daily tasks and ensure they are completed
Assist with opening and closing the shop
Handle guest questions, concerns and service issues
Ensure rental equipment is correctly set up and ready for guests
Maintain a high standard of presentation throughout the store
Support retail sales, merchandising and inventory organization
Complete Lightspeed POS transactions and assist staff with POS questions
Monitor workflow during busy periods and help keep rental operations running efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of rental, retail and guest areas
Communicate operational issues and guest feedback to the management team
Help ensure company procedures, safety standards and service expectations are followed
Work closely with management to create an outstanding experience for both guests and staff
Day-to-Day Shop Tasks Include:
Ski and snowboard rental setup
Boot fitting and equipment selection
Retail sales
Lightspeed and Checkfront POS transactions
Maintaining and merchandising retail areas
Rental equipment organization
General cleaning and tidying
Guest service
Opening and closing duties
Experience:
Customer service experience: 2+ years preferred
Ski or snowboard rental experience: 1+ year preferred
Previous supervisory or leadership experience: preferred
Ski and snowboard industry experience is an asset
Strong customer service and leadership experience are more important to us than knowing everything about ski and snowboard equipment from day one. We provide in-store training and product knowledge sessions to help get you up to speed.
